(n.b although I was sent these items to review, all opinions are my own) the reason I’m such a fan is because for a number of years they were the only brand that fitted me properly. I couldn’t get the depth my boobs need in any other bras and their Tango was my “go-to” bra for years!
Panache redo this bra in a new colour every season as well as keeping their staple nude, white & black. This is the balconette style which is available in 28 – 44 D-K and
this colour is ‘Morello’ , which is a deep wine-ish burgundy – one of my favourite colours.
The shape of this Tango is a true full balconette, it sits very straight across the bust line and offers no upwards projection. the cups are sheer but covered in the, almost iconic, Austrian leaf embroidery. Tango supports and contains the bust in a big way. It is usually the bra I reach for when I am wearing a high neck outfit, as I find it gives such a clean line under my clothing.
I am wearing a 36HH, which is my typical Panache size and it fits perfectly. If you are after comfort & maximum support without an “out there” cleavage I absolutely recommend this bra. I will note, however, the cups have a lot of depth and the wires do come up quite high, this suits my shape but if you have a shorter frame you might find them uncomfortable.
The bottoms come in either a basic brief or a thong, I never do thongs so I went for the brief in a size 20. They fit spot on so go for your typical size. The
side panels are sheer and reflect the bra with the Austrian leaves scattered across them, the front panel is double layered and smooth. The briefs sit a little low for my preference but they are comfortable and I like the wider sides on them.
Revisiting Tango has reminded me why I always had this staple set in my underwear drawer so I am glad it’s found its way back in.
The last sent I received is Clara in nude. Again I have previously had Clara in black, I was keen to retry it after a few years and see if my opinions had changed.
Clara is a full cup bra available in 30 – 40 bands, cups D-J. It is on of Panache’s core items and is released in new colours each season.
Although I got this in the same size as Tango, 36HH and it’s described as Full cup, I feel a get less coverage in this bra and I’d possibly fare better in a 36J.
Clara is 4 sections with a stretch lace top (we know I love these!) it has intricate lace all over the cups, which is really pretty and makes it feel quite classic and elegant.
I find it gives me more lift and projection than Tango and I don’t feel quite as supported possibly as I’m quite full in the top and centre of my bust so I need a lot of containing however I do like the shape it gives me and I would be happy wearing this bra under lower cut clothes! I think if you had a fuller base to your boobs, Clara would be a fabulous shape for you.
The Clara briefs are very similar in shape to Tango but there is no thong option, I am aware they have released a high waist style in this seasons colour though so I hope they introduce this across all the colours. Sizes available are 8 – 20 and, as always, I went for a 20 which fit great.
All in all…I still love Panache, I think sizing can be a bit hit & miss for me depending on style but now I’m aware of that I’ll find buying far easier.
Are you a Panache fan? do you have any questions about the sets? Let me know.
