I have often lusted after Empreinte lingerie, they produce such stunning designs which, to me, are the epitome of classic style undergarments however the range stops at a H cup which meant I was outside of their sizing but could I make it work…UK Lingerie made my lingerie lusting dreams come true when they sent me the Melody bra, I decided to get a 38H because I normally wear a 36J/38HH and didn’t want it to large in the back and I had read that the cups tend to be pretty full and generous so I was hoping this would work in my favour.
The bra is a traditional full shape with sheer geometric mesh and floral detailing. It very much feels like a perfect marriage between classic and modern. The cups are edged in a thick satin which compliments the design. The bra is under-wired with a non-structured soft cup.
Firstly I was pleasantly surprised by just how generous the cups are in Melody, you can see by the pictures how well it fits my bust, especially as I’m full on top in shape but there’s no spilling out whatsoever. Secondly I couldn’t believe how much support and lift was achieved in a bra without lots and lots of seams and sections. This bra does produce a traditional “pointed” shape to the bust and I really enjoyed this look, it’s a very different style for me and one I’d like to look for again in the future as I am definitely a fan of this vintage look.
Overall wearing an Empreinte bra has been a success and I am so pleased I have had the chance to try it out. I definitely hope it’s not my last as the quality and comfort are exceptional and something I would pay for again and again. Size wise I would recommend sizing down in the cup but keeping the same band as you usually would. There are matching briefs available for this set however I did not review these as they were not available in a suitable size for me but they do look equally as beautiful.
Melody by Empreinte is available from UK Lingerie in black and rose. I would love to know if you’ve tried this brand out and what you thought of it.
