I don’t exactly hide my love for Elomi Lingerie but it’s not without good reason, they genuinely are my “ticks every box” brand so I was delighted when Lazeme sent me two stunning sets,
one of which was the deliciously purple ‘Matilda’ and I was instantly taken with it when it arrived.
The bra is a plunge shape in sheer material, with the upper section being more sheer and finished with pink toned dot detailing which gives a cute & fun feel to the set. The bra has no padding which means a deep plunge centre but without the ‘push up’ some styles give, which I find is my favourite shape and keeps my 34J’s firmly in place without feeling like I’m wearing beige scaffolding ! It’s constructed of 3 parts plus a side support panel so I feel lifted, supported and not all spread out and squished like I feel in some other Elomi styles (Carmen & Anushka are just not for me)
Although sheer non-padded styles aren’t for everybody, I am definitely a fan and Matilda is comfortable enough for everyday wear but still has a touch of sexy about it. It’s also a great practical bra as it features a built-in racer back adjuster so you can easily pull those straps in under your vest tops or just to help prevent slipping on narrower shoulders.
I find the briefs a little bit skimpy for me, they don’t sit as high as my other Elomi briefs which isn’t really my preference as I like my C-Section pouch all tucked in and covered and I did feel a bit more self-conscious posing for pictures due to this however I appreciate that Elomi recognise that not all plus size women want to hide away in massive pants!
I find Elomi styles absolutely true to size and I wear a 34J and 2xl briefs, The fit is always perfect and I never have any overspill, gaping or digging in anywhere and Matilda is no exception to this so I would definitely recommend buying your usual size. Matilda is available in band sizes 32-46 and cups DD-JJ and briefs are M-4XL.
