Following on from my previous post, I was lucky enough to receive a second set from Charnos in the form of this classic nude Bridgette set.
The set is described as a full cup bra with classic brief and I opted 36J and size 18 brief (largest size available)
The bra, to me, has less coverage than a standard full cup but I really like the shape. I did find the base to be slightly wide on me and I think I possibly would have got on better with a 36HH in this style due to the bit of extra room I had at the bottom wires. This also makes me think this would be a good style for somebody with more width than forward projection in the breast. The base is a nude with a slight gold tone to it and it is overlaid with a same colour lace detail, which continues on the apex of the straps to. The upper section has some stretch from the lace which accommodates my fuller bust but equally this would prevent a shallower shape from having any gaping.
The cups have an inbuilt side support sling which brings any side tissue inwards and helps to give a more rounded appearance to the bust. The band is soft but supportive and I don’t know how they do it but Charnos seem to create bras that I can wear well past “bra off time” as they just feel so ridiculously comfortable!
The briefs are a size smaller than I would usually opt for but an 18 was the largest available in this set however they are very roomy and due to the soft stretchy fabric I felt perfectly comfortable in them and wasn’t concerned they would roll down or dig in. The design echoes the bra and all the finishing touches compliment the bra beautifully.
My experiences with Charnos have left me feeling extremely impressed with the brand and definitely keen to try more styles – in fact I have my eye on Bridgette in the gold/black colourway which I think I’ll get in a 36HH to see how the fit compares to this one.
